Key points from Friday’s call and what we did over the past week.
Hello Ambros, and welcome to the very first AirDAO Town Hall recap! Obviously the structure and content of these will be pretty similar to what they’ve always been, but it’s definitely cool to turn the page in some smaller ways as well as big ones now that AirDAO has officially launched. Speaking of the launch, we’d like to thank all of those who participated in testing our website and FirepotSwap DEX and offered feedback. Thanks to your input, as well as our internal testing, we were able to make the launch-day experience a smooth one. Now that we’re AirDAO though, what happens next? This was the overarching theme of our Town Hall, so let’s dive in and get to the main topics of discussion.
- Launch day obviously featured the release of our AirDAO website, explorer, FirepotSwap DEX, bridge, and staking platform, but the changeover to the new brand was also a highly important task. Kevin and Seth did a fantastic job executing the transition of all our social channels from Ambrosus to AirDAO. As Lang noted, it is incredibly common for things to go wrong in launches of this magnitude, so the fact that all products, features, and links were functioning correctly was a major achievement in coordination by the team.
- Binance surprised us yet again with more new features for AMB. We were added to Binance Futures with AMB/BUSD perpetual contracts and given cross and isolated margin options. We also were listed on Binance Convert, allowing AMB to be swapped for BTC, BUSD, ETH, and dozens of other crypto assets with zero trading fees. Additionally, this past week marked a tremendous achievement — on Tuesday, AMB peaked at a record 24-hour trading volume of over $150 million, which was more than even BNB and was sixth on all of Binance during that period. We were also inside the top 500 projects on CoinMarketCap for quite some time, a massive increase from where we were even a couple weeks ago.
- This past week, Lang was in Paris attending the Binance Blockchain Week event with our financial analyst, Rory. Together, the two of them networked with many other up-and-coming projects and made some valuable inroads for AirDAO. They spoke with the BiSwap DEX team about potential collaboration in the future, and also made progress with Trust Wallet towards securing AMB integration on the world’s most popular mobile crypto wallet. Lang and Rory’s next major stop will be the Token2049 event in Singapore, which will feature representatives from dozens of top-100 projects and venture funds. There they will be pitching AirDAO and looking for potential candidate projects to build on our network and add value to our ecosystem.
- On the marketing front, we are starting to roll out some of our post-launch content. On Saturday, well-known American crypto YouTuber Chico Crypto uploaded a video with a sponsored AirDAO promotion, and there are two more AirDAO-centered videos with large creators coming this week. We were reviewed by the global crypto media outlet Moni Talks, and have conducted an AMA with Crypto VIP Signal. Additionally, our initial AirDAO launch announcement on Twitter was retweeted by a few different influencers and advertised on Telegram as well. Finally (for now), we will be publishing a Tier-1 media article on DAOs and AirDAO’s unique solution to the problems they can face, and looking to secure placement on a large trading podcast.
Some other items of note:
- Firepot Finance’s FirepotSwap DEX had an excellent launch, securing well over $100k in TVL! Given that this is all currently on the AMB/wUSDC pair, users are able to swap between these two assets with minimal cost and slippage. Over the coming weeks, Firepot will be launching an updated UI and working to release new trading pairs and features for an even better user experience.
- As a follow-up to our Crypto VIP Signal AMA, we will be hosting an AMA with Lang in our official AirDAO Turkiye group. Our partner admins from CoinNet have collected a series of questions that Lang will be answering live, so feel free to drop by and catch some informative responses from our CEO.
- Only hours before the AirDAO website went live, we released a public Notion group called AirDAO Academy. This serves as a central resource hub for all content, materials, and info related to AirDAO and AMB. It was another crazy week in the AirDAO ecosystem, and we definitely expect a lot more exciting activity to come. Thank you to everyone who supported us through the past 5–6 months to get to the point we’re at today, and to Lang and all the team for trusting the process and making this launch happen. And now that the foundation of AirDAO has been set, it’s time to build some innovative new products on top of it.
