Key points from this week’s call and what we did over the past week.

Lang, Kevin, Lena, and I discussed the latest updates for AirDAO and some of what we have planned coming up.

Greetings everyone, and welcome to the latest installment of our weekly Town Hall recap! Global markets have continued to struggle lately, resulting in further downwards pressure on crypto prices across the board. With that said, AirDAO continues to strategize and build during these bearish conditions. This way, we are best positioned to capitalize with a robust ecosystem when more positive macro sentiment returns. Anyway, this week brought a number of new updates from Lang and the rest of the team, so without further ado, let’s get into the details of the discussion topics from this week’s call.

  • Lang reiterated that as a result of his and Rory’s networking efforts during and after Token2049, we’ve made connections with dozens of top-tier venture capital funds. Deals are getting closer to being finalized, but Rory and Lang will continue to negotiate to ensure that we get the best possible terms. After that, we will be instituting the promised hardcap to establish a firm max supply. This will include implementing both layer-1 and layer-2 level burning mechanisms for AMB. Additionally, we will begin transition to a DAO, with AMB taking on a governance role and with integration of community members into our DAO structure. Currently, Lang is in Dubai following up on an earlier round of investor meetings. He is also attended GitEx, a tech conference with over 100,000 total attendees. As a result of this, Lang was able to connect with the southeast Asian exchange Coinstore and will also be meeting with Coinbureau, the largest crypto YouTuber.
  • Looking at our website’s Google Analytics data, we’ve noticed there are certain areas we can improve to increase traffic and engagement. We will be sending out a Google form in community chats with a series of questions to gather feedback on how to make the website more clear and accessible for new users. We plan to do this every few weeks to ensure the overall user experience is as smooth and inviting as possible. Also, Lena has also been working on a new marketing strategy for the next couple of months. This will feature a more consistent message and an increase in AirDAO content creation and marketing activity. There will be new reward opportunities for community upcoming as well. Additionally for the website, we will provide extra information and tutorial videos for all of our products and have even designed a few popups to help new users navigate. We will also integrate our AirDAO blog directly into our website instead of having it hosted on an external source.
  • As we noted on the call last week, our community manager Seth will represent AirDAO at an upcoming DeFi Africa event on November 3rd. Not only will he deliver a keynote speech, but he will be networking with other attendees and projects to increase our presence in northeastern Africa. As a sponsor of this conference, we have designed AirDAO-branded t-shirts and hats, and an AirDAO Africa Telegram group and Twitter account have been created as well.

Some other items of note:

  • During the previous Town Hall, it was brought up by the community that there have been problems with our website’s Metamask prompt and WalletConnect functionality. These issues have been forwarded to the tech team and should be fixed in the next couple days.
  • There has been significant progress towards completing AMB-NET integration with MEXC Global. Kevin had a call with MEXC team today to discuss joint marketing efforts and, assuming everything proceeds smoothly, we will plan a launch date for the AMB/USDT trading pair. We appreciate the community’s patience surrounding the delays on this listing, but we are excited to move forward with MEXC and finally have AMB trading live on their exchange.
  • An AirDAO and Firepot joint AMA with the discord group DefiDegens has been scheduled for Thursday. This will be a useful opportunity to promote what we are doing to a more DeFi-experienced userbase and potentially get some useful feedback as well. This will be taking place live at 5pm EST, which is very late for much of our community, but we invite those who can attend to do so. Otherwise, we will be publishing a blog with the highlights of the AMA in the following couple of days.
  • In addition to Seth’s efforts for AirDAO in Africa, our partner CoinNet set up an AirDAO Turkiye Twitter account where they will be translating all of our main Twitter’s content into Turkish. This is a great step to help keep our Turkish supporters fully informed on what we’re doing, and we thank CoinNet for taking the initiative to make this happen.

I know the market and the correlating price action for AMB has made for an unpleasant couple weeks for everyone’s wallets, but between MEXC and the other upcoming agenda items we have, there is definitely reason to be bullish on what AirDAO is building. Even in times like this where crypto prices are struggling across the board, we remain 100% committed to transparency and sustainable development, and we look forward to bringing new integrations, listings, and value opportunities your way in the coming weeks and months. With that said, thank you all for reading, and I hope you have an outstanding week!
